The Philadelphia Eagles were facing the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the NFL Playoffs when Lance Cannon asked Britni Pearson to marry him. It was a big play for the Philadelphia fan, who typically refused to be disturbed during a game. Thanks to Freddie Mitchell, the Eagles won that game in overtime, and Cannon, a Philadelphia native, Scored the hand and heart of the youngest daughter of former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Drew Pearson. The couple married October 2, 2004, surrounded by football enthusiasts from rivaling teams. Sure, there was a little good-natured ribbing, but tempers were kept under wraps. The only thing that flared that night were the hand-rolled cigars at the reception.
