In 2014, Arlington Hall kicked off its first springtime appreciation party for planners. Each year since, they have introduced a theme, which florists and designers take and run to the moon with, resulting in imaginative tabletops and festive outfits. Instead of their usual seated dinner this year, Arlington Hall decided to do something different. “I was looking at a fashion magazine, where I saw a floral headpiece. It inspired me to come up with an unconventional challenge,” says Allison MacNealy, director of catering for Arlington Hall. A Project Runway-inspired fashion show ensued. Florists and designers constructed dramatic floral ensembles that were modeled on the lawn. The final surprise? “We selected a few wedding planners to be models, which no one knew about until they walked out!” We can’t wait to see how they’re going to top this next year.
