Our Favorite Flowerscapes For National Flowers Day

Spring has sprung, and we’re officially back in bloom. With National Flowers Day—March 21—creeping up on us, we’ve gathered inspo on how to utilize beautiful botanicals on your wedding day.

If you’re interested in displaying florals, be sure you have a florist you can trust. According to Absolutely Blooming’s creative director Marion Marshall, you can guide your florist in the right direction by using references from sources such as Pinterest. Not only that, you can ask your florist for a “mock-up” or sample so you have a greater idea of what to expect on your wedding day.

We loved Madolin McWherter and Ben Rosenthal’s sunflower-filled wedding. The couple’s ceremony featured an aisle framed with the sunny-shaped bloom. Plus, the flower itself is known to represent loyalty and admiration.

Spring is known for March winds and April showers, but don’t let the latter ruin your plans. After an impending storm warning, Emily Herren and Lee Travis moved their ceremony indoors. Their florist filled the venue with pedestals and floral arrangements throughout the chapel, bringing the beauty of the outdoors inside.

Not only can you decorate your venue with flowers, but you can also have them detailed in your wedding attire. Rebecca Marín, the creative director and owner of The Wildflowers, flourished a floral-detailed dress at her rehearsal dinner.

Once it’s all said and done, don’t let your flowers go to waste. Consider keeping some for memory’s sake, and donating what’s left to a senior living home. Addison Fontein and James Currell III saved their blooms for a senior center to be used for a flower arranging class after their wedding.
