Alexis Morris and Collin Teaster met at a Bible study and, years later, used their foundation of faith to guide their wedding day. Family also played a big role in the celebration, as the couple elected to say “I do” at the church Collin’s family attends and chose to have family members stand alongside them as bridesmaids and groomsmen. “From keeping our wedding party to strictly family to having our guests pray over us, we tried to weave intentional moments throughout the day that truly reflected our hearts and story,” Alexis says. “It was such a sweet blur of joy and peace all day long. And dancing the night away with all our people was just the best ending.”
Read on to learn more about Alexis and Collin’s love story and wedding day!

D Weddings: Briefly, tell us the story of how you met and got engaged.
Alexis: We met through a Bible study some friends had invited me to. After hanging out a few times in a group setting, Collin called and asked me out on a proper date.
D Weddings: What was your vision for your wedding day?
Alexis: From the very beginning, our biggest desire was to keep God at the center of our day. Marriage is such a beautiful reflection of the Gospel—God’s love for us, His sacrifice through Jesus, and the covenant He made with us. We wanted our wedding to point to that truth. More than anything, we hoped people would walk away having experienced the deep love of Christ through the way we celebrated.
D Weddings: What were the most important or meaningful elements of your wedding? Why were they significant?
Alexis: We wanted the people closest to us, our family, to stand by us as we entered into marriage. My maids of honor were my two older sisters, Zoe and Phoebe, and my bridesmaid was Collin’s sister, Mia Jo. Collin’s best man was his dad, Michael, and his groomsmen were his two brothers, Cameron and Gunner. It was incredibly special to be surrounded by people who know and love us deeply. Another really meaningful moment was during the end of our first dance when all of our guests were invited to come forward, lay hands on us, and pray. It was one of the most powerful parts of the day.
D Weddings: What personal touches, if any, did you incorporate?
Alexis: From keeping our wedding party strictly family to having our guests pray over us, we tried to weave intentional moments throughout the day that truly reflected our hearts and story. Our ceremony and music choices were all centered around our faith and the beauty of covenant love.
D Weddings: What were some of your favorite moments from the day?
Alexis: Walking down the aisle with my dad, our first dance, and the prayer moment. It was such a sweet blur of joy and peace all day long. And dancing the night away with all our people was just the best ending.
D Weddings: What do you remember the most from the day?
Alexis: Our first dance and that beautiful moment of prayer from our guests. I’ll never forget the feeling of being so covered in love and support.
D Weddings: Were there any surprises?
Alexis: Thankfully, no surprises!

Alexis: My gown was custom-made by Olia Zavozina. She also designed my sister’s dress four years ago, so it felt really special to continue that tradition.

Alexis: Designed and printed in-house by House of CLRK, which made the whole process so cohesive and stress-free.

Alexis: We fell in love with the natural beauty of the Rosewood. The red terracotta building was stunning! Our ceremony was at Park Cities Presbyterian Church, a church that’s deeply meaningful to Collin’s family.

Alexis: We kept the florals neutral and elegant. Just enough to elevate the room while keeping things classic and understated.

Alexis: Timeless and clean, with neutral tones that allowed the beauty of the venue to shine.

Alexis: House of CLRK was amazing to work with. Having planning, design, florals, and paper goods all under one roof made everything feel super cohesive and seamless.

Alexis: We loved working with Shannon [Skloss]. Her photography style is natural and candid, nothing felt overly posed or heavily edited. She truly captured the spirit of the day.
