These Dallas Shops Offer Fashion-Forward and Wedding-Day Looks for Modern Brides

Modern brides aren’t interested in cookie-cutter wedding looks (and we love them for it!). With a rise of fashion-forward bridal brands and an influx of custom options abounding, we take a look at what’s new and notable in bridal style, made-for-you beauty, and must-have accessories.

Lip Service

If you’re looking for the just-right lip shade for your big day—or merely a fun outing for you and your bridesmaids—head to the new Lip Lab by Bite at NorthPark Center, where you can create your very own custom lipstick. Personalize the shade, finish, and flavor, then name your creation. You can work with a color expert in store or design online from the comfort of home.

The Royal Treatment

Forget feeling like a princess on your big day. Nigerian-born, Dallas-based couture bridal designer Esé Azénabor‘s elaborate designs and bespoke gowns are fit for a queen. From a blazer-style creation to two-in-one pieces for optimal reception partying, her latest offering—the Dream Collection—is perfect for the strong woman who wants to feel one-of-a-kind on her wedding day. Says the designer: “An Esé Azénabor bride is a boss.”

Ferrah (est) of Them All

Who says a veil is the only way to top your mop on your big day? Dallas is home to Ferrah, a sustainable ready-to-wear and hat line by Project Runway alum and Parson’s School of Design grad Lela Orr.  We especially love her wide-brim, white offerings, perfect for a rehearsal dinner or ultra-contemporary bridal look.

Wild Things

Gather your girls and get thee to Wildlike, the new brainchild of Ylang23 co-owner Alysa Teichman. The luxury piercing bar offers fashion-forward pierceable jewelry from coveted brands and trained professionals who can add some sparkle to your lobe, cartilage, nose, and more—all in a vibrant, Instagram-worthy setting.

Travel in Style

In October, Dallas-based Leatherology launched its first temporary brick-and-mortar store at NorthPark Center. Shop a selection of their high-quality (and personalizable!) handbags, duffels, dop kits, and more, which make perfect bridal party gifts or honeymoon-ready registry picks. The pop-up is open through mid-February 2022, but if you miss it, you can still shop their robust ecomerce site.

These Boots are Made for Walkin’ (Down the Aisle)

Give uncomfortable stilettos a kick to the curb and embrace your inner cowgirl with a pair of boots for your big day. Lizzy Chestnut’s Fort Worth–based CITY Boots offers modern designs in flattering and feminine tall or short styles. Add your new initials for a sweet touch.

Arm Candy

Having grown up in the jewelry business, Bachendorf’s’ Fallon Bock brings a fresh perspective to fine jewelry. Her debut line, Fallon B by Bachendorf’s, is not only designed for women, but created exclusively by women—a first for the Dallas institution. The everyday-wear pieces have a youthful feel and accessible pricepoint (starting at $400) and best of all, are completely customizable.
