Ask The Expert: When Should I Book a Florist for My Upcoming Wedding?

Expert: Floral and Design Specialists, Dr Delphinium Designs & Events

When should I book a florist for my upcoming wedding?

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming. While many professionals suggest booking your florist three to nine months in advance of the event, the specific time you book depends on your needs and priorities. For example, if floral and decor are at the top of your priority list, and you have secured the venue and chosen the style of the wedding, you’ll want to book well in advance to ensure your date is saved. If the floral and décor are a lower priority, a few months in advance is likely sufficient. However, because so many 2020 brides had to reschedule their weddings to 2021, locking in a date and booking floral far in advance is a wise choice. In fact, many brides are now booking florists up to 18 months before their wedding date for this reason. Dr Delphinium Designs + Events requires only $500 to secure your requested date. Many of our brides find comfort knowing they can make adjustments to their floral design up to 30 days before their wedding. Happy planning!
