Pre-Wedding Prep with Nicci Levy, Founder of Alchemy 43

Aesthetics brand Alchemy 43 is celebrating their seventh birthday by expanding into Dallas, with two new locations in Plano and Lakewood. Look no further for pre-wedding skin prep; the team of licensed medical practitioners will work with brides on a customized treatment plan to have you looking your best on the big day, offering their complete range of “microtreatments,” from microneedling and injectables to laser and peels. Founder Nicci Levy works to maintain Alchemy 43’s philosophy of “the best work goes unnoticed” by enhancing your natural beauty. We asked her for her advice on how to prep your skin before your wedding day.

Why is skincare preparation important for your wedding day?

I highly recommend getting a solid routine with products that you know work for your skin prior to your big day! Creating your individual regimen will allow you to have a great base for your glam. If you are trying a brand new product on your skin, I’d suggest starting it 2-3 months prior so that your skin can adjust and so you can use it for long enough to see the benefits!

How can skincare treatments aide in that prep?

Doing your treatment prep such as Radically Radiant/PRP or DiamondGlow (whatever your skincare savior is) beforehand can help tremendously with looking and feeling your absolute best at your wedding.

What does Alchemy 43 offer that would most benefit brides?

Honestly all of our treatments! We always recommend coming in for a complimentary consultation prior to any treatment so you’re able to speak with one of our expert providers on what treatment regimen is right for you. No two beautiful faces are the same. We will work with you months in advance to schedule in your regimen pre-event—we’ll even send you reminder texts and emails too so your mind is at ease.

What should the timeline look like for pre-wedding skincare?

Ideally, everything should start around six months before your wedding. Glow-Tos such as microneedling can be done as frequently as every six weeks leading up. Lasers such as Clear + Brilliant or PRP are recommended every eight weeks or so. This will help smooth texture, even out your skin tone, and target pesky spots as well as fine lines and wrinkles. Pro tip: book your Glow-To series in advance so you have enough time to see best results. We recommend a series of three sessions for maximum results. Three weeks before the wedding, get your third or fourth Glow-To treatment before the big day! Focus on SPF and hydration in the final weeks of skin prep.

How about a timeline for injectables?

Our expert practitioners recommend starting your Botox and filler microtreatments six months prior to your event as well. Filler, depending on the treatment, should be done over four weeks prior so the results have time to fully settle and there is no risk of swelling. Refreshing your Botox treatment one month prior is perfect timing because Botox can take 10-14 days to show full results. This allows time for touch-ups if needed!

What is your favorite pre-event treatment?

My favorite pre-event treatment is Radically Radiant, our microneedling service, because it makes my skin glow like nothing else and takes my look to the next level.

Any advice for day-of skincare?

SPF always! We love recommending a Vitamin C serum in the morning and something hyaluronic acid–based, because it will leave your complexion feeling plump and hydrated. Drink lots of water too; your skin will thank you!
