How to Plan Your Wedding Menu with Your Guests in Mind

Introducing the D Weddings ABCs of Etiquette: Sure, you can flip through Emily Post’s bible of good manners, but what do Dallas brides, planners, and guests expect when it comes to local wedding etiquette? Dallas wedding experts tell us how to graciously navigate every wedding-day situation.

Catering and menu planning is an opportunity to have fun with your wedding planning. Just keep your guests in mind when doing so. Vivian Morgan of Culinary Art Catering recommends booking a chef who can accommodate different dietary options like dairy free, kosher, gluten free, or vegan/vegetarian. Do give your guests an option if you’re planning on a seated dinner. “You don’t want to pay for plates that cannot be eaten,” she says. Should you inform the couple of your needs when you’re the guest? “A good host will ask and take it into consideration when planning, but there is nothing wrong with letting the host know,” she says.
